Psycho (1960)
SPOILER ALERT.
One of my favorite Hitchcock films, although slightly overrated. Strangers on a Train is still the best for me. The only thing I didn’t get from this movie was that if Bates was really his mother, then how come in that scene wherein the detective returns to the motel, Norman is seen walking off in the other direction (towards the motel) and yet the “mother” ends up killing the detective by the top of the stairs at the house? I can’t seem to find any explanation on the internet though. Or maybe I just don’t know how to google on this. Hmm.
“Different from Whom/Divero da chi?” 2009
Saw this at the Italian movie fest last night. I loved it. For those who aren’t aware, Shangri-la is currently featuring Italian movies for free! Their list of titles are superb. You should all check it out.
View Larger Rob: What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.] In the Hall of the Mountain King - Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross from The Social Network
View Larger Tumblr, meet Andrew Russell Garfield. He played Eduardo Saverin in “The Social Network.” Nevermind that he kind of reminds me of Joe Jonas. He worked the entire movie clad in his sexy business suit. Plus, he’s British-American. Can you say hot? Hot.
Edit: By the way, he’s playing PETER PARKER/SPIDERMAN in the movie reboot! OH MY GOD.
View Larger Patrick Bateman: Look at that subtle off-white coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!
